Why the Integrated Crop and Pest Management Update Should Be on Your Winter Meeting Calendar

By Christine Charles

The Michigan State University Extension field crops team will host the 2025 Integrated Crop and Pest Management Update from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 19 at the STEM Teaching Facility, 642 Red Cedar Rd, East Lansing, MI 48824. This annual meeting will feature the latest updates for crop and pest recommendations and on-farm research results.

Here are the top five reasons why the Integrated Crop and Pest Management Update should be on your winter meeting list.

  1. Gain research guided insights for the 2026 season. Program participants will receive the most recent recommendations from Michigan State University (MSU) Extension for potential weed, insect and disease problems, agronomy innovations and emerging issues in 2026. These recommendations are based on field research conducted by MSU specialists.
  2. Informed of timely purchasing decisions. The program is offered just in time for businesses and farmers to make their year-end bulk purchasing decisions based on demand and availability. The timing of bulk purchases can have tax implications.
  3. Get the updated “2026 Weed Control Guide.” Participants will receive a hard copy of the 2026 Weed Control Guide (Bulletin E434).
