Cattlemen’s Young Leaders Announces Mentorship Semi-Finalists Winners

CYL Program Selects Twenty-Two Canadian Beef Cattle Leaders for 2012 Program

The Cattlemen’s Young Leaders Development Program (CYL) announces its 2013 semi-finalists. From nearly 70 applications from across Canada, the CYL sub-committee has selected 22 semi-finalists to participate in a roundtable at the CYL March Forum. The forum is to be held in partnership with the Canadian Cattlemen’s Association (CCA) Annual General Meeting in Ottawa, Ontario March 5th to 8th, 2013.

The CYL program is a newer program that seeks to provide industry training and mentorship opportunities to assist in cultivating future leaders in Canada’s cattle industry. Some of the key sponsors of the program include: UFA Co-operative Ltd., the Alberta Livestock and Meat Agency (ALMA), Cargill and the CCA.

The following are the 2013semi-finalists:

British Columbia: Cuyler Huffman;
Alberta: Amanda Elzinga, Becky Page, Claire Windeyer, Daniel Doerksen, Debra Murphy, Hope Eaton,
Jacob Onyschuk, Jordyn Prior, Kelsey Beasley, Shelby Froland, Trevor Alexander;
