Food Recall: Glatt’s Kosher Ground Beef Recalled

Montreal Glatt’s Kosher Meat Products Announces Ground Beef Recall

Glatt’s Kosher Meat Products is voluntarily recalling some ground beef and ground veal over concerns that the packages may contain E.coli bacteria. Packages that are affected by the recall are Aug. 27, 2012 bearing the code 22812.

The products were sold in Montreal retail outlets including - IGA supermarkets in Côte St. Luc, in the Cavendish Mall and the Côte St. Luc Shopping Centre; the IGA at 13057 Gouin Blvd., Pierrefonds; the IGA at 4885 Van Horne Ave., and Kosher Quality Bakery at 5855 Victoria Ave.

There have been no confirmed illnesses associated with the products and those consumers who are unsure if they have the recalled products are encouraged to call the Canadian Food Inspection Agency at 1-800-442-2342.
