2018 Canada’s Farm Progress Show Innovations

The 2018 Farm Progress Show in Regina, Sask is only two weeks away.  One of the highlights of the show for many is the Innovation Program because it showcases ingenuity and the ongoing creativity of the farming community.

A quick review of just some of the entries includes a wide array of products, such as innovative hand carts and power tools, retrofits for air carts, and tillage equipment that can perform vertical tillage or high-speed tillage – there are 22 entries in the CFPS Innovation Program in 2018.

The Innovation Program is a highlight of Canada’s Farm Progress Show for attendees. “We have buyers who attend the show each year specifically to see what’s new in the industry and to talk to manufacturers who are displaying their innovations,” says Show Manager Shirley Janeczko. “It is through these innovations that we see improvements, modernization and increased profitability in agriculture production.”

Innovation Program submissions are qualified by the Canada’s Farm Progress Show Innovation Committee and evaluated by a panel of judges who bring vast knowledge of the agriculture industry. Judges also have the practical and tangible understanding of how innovation can lead to productivity improvements on the farm.

The highest-ranked innovations receive a Gold Standard Award or a Sterling Standard Award at the Innovation Awards ceremony on June 19, 2018. To learn more about the Innovation Program and this year’s entries, visit the Innovation Pavilion located in International Trade Centre, Hall 11, when you are attending the show.
