New C1450T Air Cart Helps Farmers Cover More Acres with Fewer Refills
John Deere has introduced the new C1450T air cart, expanding its C-Series lineup with the company’s largest-capacity option designed to help farmers cover more acres between refills.
The new model combines increased capacity with precision agriculture technology to improve efficiency, productivity, and field performance.
The C1450T includes key C-Series features such as AccuRate meters, EZCal calibration technology, and integration with the John Deere Operations Center. These technologies help farmers manage operations more effectively while using data-driven tools to improve accuracy and reduce downtime.
“Seeding windows continue to get tighter, and farmers are looking for ways to cover more ground without adding complexity,” said Benjamin Zelle, John Deere marketing manager for seeders and planters.
“The C1450T is built to help them scale their operation with increased capacity, so they can stay productive and make the most of every available hour in the field.”
The air cart features corrosion-resistant stainless-steel AccuRate meters designed to handle abrasive fertilizers and seed treatments. Individually controlled electric meters allow operators to adjust application rates with greater precision and support advanced features such as Curve Compensation and SectionCommand Pro.
The C1450T also includes John Deere’s EZCal system, which simplifies calibration through a push-button process. This eliminates the need for traditional manual bag calibration methods, helping operators save time and improve convenience.
“The C1450T combines increased capacity with the precision technologies farmers depend on every day,” Zelle said.
“Features like the ActiveCal™ system give operators real-time visibility into product levels and application performance, helping them make in-field adjustments and maintain accuracy without slowing down.”
To improve handling and efficiency, the C1450T introduces the EZLift system, allowing operators to move bulk bags directly into tanks from the ground, trailers, trucks, or storage platforms.
The machine also includes a larger 16-inch hydraulic conveyor, stainless-steel hopper, redesigned access platform, and improved tank capacity.
A new fifth tank option increases flexibility by allowing farmers to carry and blend up to five products while maximizing acres per fill. The 105-bushel Flex Tank further expands options for seed and fertilizer applications.
Through John Deere Operations Center Logistics, operators can monitor estimated remaining application time and field coverage before refilling. This helps coordinate tendering operations and keeps larger farms running efficiently.
With upgraded precision tools, improved capacity, and enhanced logistics features, the C1450T is designed to help modern farming operations increase productivity while reducing interruptions during critical planting periods.
