This three-semester graduate certificate program “is designed for new farmers seeking an intensive, applied learning experience in sustainable, ecological or natural farming methods,” according to the Fleming College website.
The program features a 21-week summer co-op experience, in addition to courses such as: farm equipment and maintenance, livestock management and market research.
Applicants require a two-year college diploma, at least two years of university-level study, or a combination of farm-related work experience and education.
