A Davidson, Saskatchewan farm family says the cleanup after a tornado tore through their land will take about two years.

“The shop got torn down, the barn got torn down, corals got torn down, bins got thrown across the yard, my car got crushed, my dad lost two bins, two others have disappeared, the garage got demolished, (my) dad’s stock trailer got crushed (and) trees are demolished everywhere,” Sydney Willner told Global News.

Environment Canada confirmed the tornado, Saskatchewan’s seventh of 2016, touched down at about 8:15pm on Tuesday.

Willner said she, her parents and two dogs went to the basement when they realized a tornado was in their yard. Minutes later Gord, Sydney’s father, returned upstairs to find a damaged yard.

“There’s a hundred years-worth of hard work that you can’t replace,” Gord told Global News.

The Willners weren’t the only farm family impacted by the twister. It traveled onto the neighbouring property of Sheri Warkentin where it tore the roof off of her barn.

“The tornado went passed us and there was white fuzz in the air so I think we figured out it’s probably insulation from a shed,” she told Global News.

The community has rallied behind the Willners, offering assistance to help clean up.

Gord Willner said he’s fortunate to have friends and family willing to lend a hand.

Demco's dual auger grain cart is designed for unloading efficiency, operator visibility, and safety in the field.

This dual-auger design features both an unload auger and a floor auger for enhanced grain cleanout and consistent flow, and the 22-inch unload auger is capable of moving up to 600 bushels per minute.

Farmers can also choose between right or left-handed unload options—right-handed unload improves visibility from the tractor cab. A new design allows both vertical and horizontal movement for precise grain placement during unloading.

Another key feature is the built-in fire safety system; a 300-gallon onboard water tank with a hose reel that provides field-ready fire suppression capability.

These dual auger grain carts are available in 1100, 1300, 1500, 1700, and 2200 bushel sizes.
