Christian Farmers Federation of Ontario Empowers Future Agricultural Leaders with $10,000 in Scholarships

The Christian Farmers Federation of Ontario (CFFO) is pleased to announce its annual scholarship program, offering up to $10,000 in financial assistance to support youth pursuing studies in agriculture and agri-business. As part of its commitment to nurturing the next generation of agricultural leaders, the CFFO will award four scholarships worth $2,500 each to eligible candidates.

To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following qualifications:
• Must be a secondary school graduate
• Parents or grandparents must be active CFFO members
• Registered for full-time studies in an agriculture-related program in Ontario*
*Some out-of-province exceptions may be considered

Applicants are required to follow a simple application procedure:
• Complete the CFFO Federation Scholarship Application Form, available for download on the CFFO website.
• Submit an official transcript and proof of full-time registration in an agriculture-related program.
• Craft a compelling 500-word essay OR a 3-5 minute video* sharing their passion for agriculture and how their faith inspires their career path.
*Video must be posted publicly on YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter, and the link must be included in the CFFO Federation Scholarship Application Form. Please do not email video as an attachment.

The deadline to apply for the scholarship is May 31, 2024.

"We are thrilled to continue our tradition of supporting aspiring agricultural leaders through our scholarship program," said Ed Scharringa, President of the CFFO Executive Board. "At CFFO, we believe in investing in the future of agriculture, and these scholarships provide valuable assistance to deserving students who are passionate about pursuing careers in this vital industry."

Applications should be submitted via email or mail to the CFFO head office, details of which are available on the CFFO website.

Scholarship recipients will be notified in June 2024 and honored at their local District Summer Picnic. Furthermore, selected essays or videos may be featured on CFFO's social media platforms and in The Steward magazine.
