Equipment Convoys For Farm Progress Show Start Their Move Into Regina

The Farm Progress Show is fast approaching, but before the programs are handed out and the mini donut stands start popping up, the giant agricultural machinery need to make its way to Evraz Place.

For the next week, equipment convoys will be on the move from 5 to 7 a.m. and 7 to 9:30 p.m., heading down Dewdney Avenue towards Evraz Place.

Norman Kyle, the director of roadways and transportation for the City of Regina, says there shouldn’t be too many delays.

“We try to keep the road open and just move the convoy along,” Kyle said. “We’ll have our staff at the intersections – so there might be some slight delays, but overall, no road closures, no detours.”

We are taking students out to southern Manitoba to Hespler Farms! Farmer Wayne will teach students how he plants and cares for his potato crop and why potatoes are such a unique crop to grow. Teachers, check out your AITC Dashboard for Math'd Potatoes, a potato-themed classroom resource to pair with this tour video. Thank you to Peak of the Market and Penner Farm Services for making this event possible.
