European Commission Approval of Enlist Corn Received

Dow AgroSciences is pleased that the European Commission authorized Enlist™ corn for food and feed use on July 4, 2017.

The European Union joins a lengthy list of countries that have approved Enlist corn for import, including China, which approved in June of 2017. The Commission noted in its statement the traits it recently approved “had gone through a full authorization procedure, including a favourable scientific assessment by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).”

Dow AgroSciences reaffirms its plans to launch Enlist corn in Canada for the 2018 growing season, and looks forward to bringing this advanced technology to farmers. The Enlist system in corn will help farmers control weeds more efficiently by enabling the use of Enlist DuoTM herbicide. Enlist Duo is a proven solution to address hard to control and resistant weeds while minimizing the potential for off-target movement through its Colex-DTM technology.
