Mark Kreps & Steve Connelly Memorial Lecture: Controlling What You Can Control

To close out the Summit, Stan Vardell, Greenway Equipment’s vice president of parts operations, highlights what he has learned during his 3+ decades working both in the dealership and OEM aftermarket business that helps the Greenway team maximize their parts and service operations. Under his leadership, the 30-store dealership has been recognized by Deere as Aftermarket Achievers for 14 years.

“I am responsible for process & policy development and execution for customer experience, inventory optimization and asset management,” Vardell says. “Having consistent processes and policies makes for much improved customer experience, especially if they purchase parts from more than one Greenway location.”

Vardell is responsible for the dealership’s parts retail and revenue generation, vendor relationships, logistics and inventory integrity. Greenway has frequent parts audits with an average score of over 99% across its locations.

You'll Learn: How to scale different processes & procedures to maximize the parts & service departments — regardless of the size of your operation.
