Forward Contract Prices Dip This Week

Hams Marketing Services is providing a hog market update.

Tyler Fulton says forward prices were doing well up until Thursday of this week.

"Forward contract prices have performed pretty well over the course of the last three weeks or so," he commented. "Lean hog futures declined almost the daily limit in trade yesterday (Thursday). That obviously took a big chunk out of our forward prices."

Fulton says cash markets have generally been pretty supportive.
