LEMKEN Announces New Diamant 16 Plough is Ready for Launch

Updated OF design allows plowing Onland with dual wheels

LEMKEN has announced the successor to its top-performing plough is ready to launch and will be available in 2019. The Diamant 16 will exceed its predecessor, the popular Diamant 11, on many fronts, including fuel consumption and operating ease.

The most notable improvement to the Diamant 16 is the OptiLine feature that prevents lateral pull during in-furrow ploughing, resulting in up to a 10 per cent savings on fuel consumption, depending on the type of tractor tire used and soil conditions.

With OptiLine, the in-furrow model of the Diamant 16 is the first and only plough of its kind to feature technology that shifts the tractor/plough traction line toward the center of the tractor’s rear axle to eliminate lateral pull in operation. OptiLine features a pressure-controlled cylinder that transfers additional torque to the tractor. OptiLine also reduces demand on the operator because you no longer need to counter-steer the tractor to correct side forces.

Traction Booster Generates Added Fuel Savings

The Diamant 16 shifts weight from the plough and front tractor axle to the rear tractor axle, which reduces pressure at the headlands for added fuel savings and boosts the amount of pulling force and traction in the field.

Other advantages of the Diamant 16 include:

* A continuously variable, hydraulic depth guiding system – a new innovation that allows users to adjust working depth from the tractor cab

* Proven Hydromatic overload protection which ensures disruption-free ploughing in stony soil conditions.

* The ability to use this plough for a broader range of applications that cater to larger tractors with greater pulling power.

* The dimensions of all main bearings have been enlarged.

* The onland version of the Diamant 16 has been updated, allowing the implement to be used with tractors with an external width of up to four metres. This ensures the wheels always maintain a sufficient distance from the furrow edges, even in difficult conditions.

* Dural or DuraMaxx plough body for a long service life

* The Diamant 16 will be available with up to 9 furrows.

The Diamant 16 will replace the Diamant 11 in January 2019, and is expected to quickly take the lead in meeting all modern day ploughing needs on large farms.

Video: Is China Buying US Soybeans + USDA Nov 14th Crop Report could be “Game Changing”

After a week of a U.S./China trade truce, markets/trade is skeptical that we have not seen a signed agreement nor heard much from China or seen any details. There are rumors that China is buying soybean futures & not the physical. Trust in Trump?
12 MMT of U.S. soybean purchases by China by year-end is better than 0 but we all need to give it more time and give it a chance to unfold. China did lower the tariffs on Ag and is buying U.S. wheat and sorghum.
U.S. supreme court could rule against Trumps tariffs, but the Trump administration does have a plan B.
U.S. government shutdown is now the longest in history at 38 days.
But despite a U.S. government shutdown we will be getting a USDA November crop report next Friday and it could be “game changing.” If the USDA provides a bullish surprise with lower U.S. corn and soybean yields and ending stocks that are lower than expected both corn and soybean futures will break out above their ceilings at $4.35/bu and $11.35/bu respectively.
The funds continued their selling in live and feeder cattle futures on continued fears that the Trump administration want to lower U.S. beef prices. The fundamentals have not changed, only market psychology has.
Stocks markets continue to worry about a weak U.S. job market, but you can blame ChatGPT for that. In the future, we will have a more efficient, productive and growing economy with a higher unemployment rate until we have more skilled AI workers.
