Manitoba Beef Producers Hosting Youth Retreat

Coming up in January, Manitoba Beef Producers (MBP) is hosting its first ever youth retreat near Brandon for those between the ages of 18 and 39.
 
MBP General Manager Carson Callum commented on the event.
 
"Trying to engage some of the younger folks in the industry that may be coming in and looking to either take over one day or be a part of a operation within their family or particular business and just try to engage and allow for networking and just some general great learning sessions," he said.
 
The event is happening January 13th and 14th at the Manitoba Beef and Forage Initiative (MBFI) farm north of Brandon. Key topics include succession planning, tax and financial issues, land acquisition, as well as managing the business and the human resources side of the operation.
