No deal reached in Trans-Pacific Partnership

On behalf of Dairy Farmers of Ontario we would like to thank Canada’s negotiators for protecting the Canadian Dairy System while working hard to achieve the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade deal that will benefit all Canadians.

The Canadian dairy industry is an extremely important one to Canadians, and in a recent a nationwide poll conducted on behalf of the Dairy Farmers of Canada, Canadians sent a clear message that it is important for our government to protect our dairy industry and that the milk products Canadians use come from Canadian farmers.

Although there was no resolution to the TPP negotiations this week, we are confident that the government will continue to listen to Canadians and protect the Canadian Dairy System in future trade discussions.

Canadians want their milk from Canada, naturally.
