Potato growers named Alberta’s Outstanding Young Farmers 2026cdc

Canada’s Outstanding Young Farmers (COYF) has announced that Alison and Michael Davie of North Paddock Farms Ltd. Taber, as the 2026 Alberta honourees. The regional event was held June 17-18, 2026.

The couple met while studying agriculture and commerce at Lincoln University in New Zealand before returning to Alberta in 2013 to take over the reins of Alison’s family farm. Their diverse, irrigated operation produces a wide range of crops, including potatoes, cereals, seed canola, pulses, flax, timothy hay and garlic. 

Since assuming leadership of the farm, the Davies have dedicated themselves to advancing modern agriculture by implementing innovative crop production practices, expanding their acreage and maximizing operational efficiencies.

Outside of their professional commitments, Alison and Michael are proud parents to two children, ages seven and 10.
