Quick Compost Survey For Farmers

Quick Compost Survey For Farmers
By Debbie Roos

I have been invited to give a presentation at the US Composting Council’s upcoming Compost Operation Training Course. My topic is Compost in Agricultural Fields. Since I’ll be talking about how farmers use compost, I thought this would be a great opportunity to get some feedback from farmers on their use of compost to share with this group.

If you are a farmer I would appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to complete this short, anonymous on-line survey. This is for all types of farmers (produce, cut flowers, livestock, row crops, nursery growers) from anywhere in the southeast. Please complete the survey by September 12.

Canadian farmers have another barrier to deal with when marketing grain. India announced it will issue a 30% duty on all yellow pea imports, including from Canada, effective Saturday, November 1. That was the main topic of the SaskAgToday.com Roundtable, though it's not the only one as the final crop report of 2025, SARM's recent trip to Ottawa, and the upcoming Grain Millers Harvest Showdown in Yorkton were other notable topics.
