Arthur, ON – The Guelph Chamber of Commerce honoured Troll Bridge Creek Inc. (TBCI) for its continued success in the global marketplace as its emerging business of the year at the Guelph Awards of Excellence Gala held last night in Guelph.

Presented by Chamber President and CEO Kithio Mwanzia, this award recognized TBCI because they have been engaged in an exciting and innovative new venture and has been in business for a minimum of 3 years.  The company was one of three finalists in this area and was recognized for launching the maple water category globally and providing the market with four unique beverages (maple, maple strawberry, maple cranberry and maple blueberry).

“We are very excited to receive this award and have been humbled by the experience” says Mr. Keith Harris, CEO of TBCI, manufacturers of KiKi Maple Sweet Water. “We are so pleased that we are being recognized for starting a global category in maple water, and being the first to bring a commercial product to market”.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Harris recognized the contributions of many Guelph-based organizations that have been instrumental in their success, including the Guelph Chamber of Commerce, Innovation Guelph, Ontario Agri-Food Technologies, Guelph Food Technology Centre and Bioenterprise Corporation.

“It is so essential for entrepreneurs starting out that they have a tremendous support system” says Keith Harris.  “These organizations have been tremendous for us, providing direction and advice and support along the way.  Our success is a reflection of their dedication to seeing their clients make a difference in the marketplace”.

Distribution of KiKi Maple Sweet Water has gone global and TBCI will have many new announcements to make shortly. The company has stated last night that new distribution agreements in new markets have been completed.  Details of these agreements will be provided.
