Employees in the United States Department of Agriculture are back to work.
On Friday, January 25 President Donald Trump announced the end to the 35 day government shutdown.
U.S. Secretary of Agriculture, Sonny Perdue, thanked the thousands of USDA employees who stayed on the job during the shutdown in a statement on Friday.
"President Trump's announcement of the reopening of the federal government is welcoming news," Perdue said. "It will bring thousands of our employees back to work and return us to our mission of providing our customers with the services they rely upon."
The USDA World Agricultural Supply and Demands Estimate (WASDE) report is still scheduled to be released on Friday, February 8.
During the shutdown, the January WASDE report was not released.
These reports provide a global look at the markets for agriculture products used by people like traders, farmers and retailers.
Data from the missed January report will be included in the February document.
