USDA Export sales Report

Wheat:   Net sales of 162,100 metric tons for delivery in 2014/2015 were up 58 percent from the previous week, but down 54 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases reported for the Philippines (95,000 MT), Thailand (52,200 MT), Mexico (48,100 MT), Cameroon (17,300 MT, switched from unknown destinations), Ghana (16,300 MT, switched from unknown destinations), and Italy (8,000 MT), were partially offset by decreases for unknown destinations (55,000 MT), China (34,500 MT), Peru (5,000 MT), and Belize (2,600 MT).  Net sales of 131,000 MT for 2015/2016 were primarily for Guatemala (89,600 MT), the Philippines (24,000 MT), and Costa Rica (11,000 MT).  Exports of 338,200 MT were down 32 percent from the previous week and 29 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Indonesia (66,000 MT), the Philippines (55,000 MT), Taiwan (45,300 MT), Mexico (39,900 MT), Japan (29,500 MT), and Nigeria (26,000 MT).

Exports for Own Account:  Exports for own account to Italy totaling 4,200 MT were applied to new or outstanding sales.  The current exports for own account balance is 33,900 MT, all Italy.

Corn:  Net sales of 406,600 MT for delivery in 2014/2015 were down 7 percent from the previous week and 26 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (234,600 MT), Colombia (99,600 MT, including 22,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 5,500 MT), Barbados (63,300 MT, switched from Guatemala), Japan (58,300 MT), and Peru (37,000 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (64,100 MT), Taiwan (56,700 MT), Guatemala (46,800 MT), the French West Indies (5,000 MT), and Costa Rica (1,700 MT).  Net sales of 25,100 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for unknown destinations.  Exports of 683,400 MT were down 36 percent from the previous week and 37 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (147,400 MT), South Korea (135,200 MT), Japan (126,900 MT), Colombia (122,400 MT), the Dominican Republic (34,100 MT), Taiwan (27,400 MT), and Costa Rica (19,900 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 68,000 MT, all South Korea.

Export Adjustments:  Accumulated exports to Japan were adjusted down 376 MT for week ending February 5th.  These sales were inadvertently reported as being shipped, but should have been reported as being cancelled.

Barley: There were no sales reported during the week.  Exports of 400 MT were reported to Taiwan (300 MT) and Canada (100 MT).

Sorghum: Net sales reductions of 212,700 MT for 2014/2015 were down noticeably from the previous week and from the prior

4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (9,300 MT).  Decreases were reported for Japan (222,000 MT).  Net sales of 110,000 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for China.  Exports of 172,600 MT were down 40 percent from the previous week and 28 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The destination was China. 

Rice:  Net sales of 46,600 MT for 2014/2015 were down 57 percent from the previous week and 45 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Japan (13,000 MT), Guatemala (8,000 MT), unknown destinations (7,700 MT), Mexico (5,100 MT), and Costa Rica (4,200 MT).  Exports of 62,200 MT were down 24 percent from the previous week, but up 19 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Colombia (20,000 MT), Costa Rica (11,500 MT), Panama (10,000 MT), Mexico (7,800 MT), and Canada (3,900 MT).

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 100 MT, all Canada.

Soybeans:  Net sales of 27,400 MT for 2014/2015 were down 95 percent from the previous week and 92 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases reported for Mexico (102,600 MT), Malaysia (24,300 MT, including 24,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 1,000 MT), Colombia (10,800 MT, including 5,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Vietnam (7,900 MT), and Taiwan (7,200 MT, including 500 MT switched from China and decreases of 3,400 MT), were partially offset by decreases for unknown destinations (51,000 MT), China (40,500 MT), Japan (39,200 MT), Peru (6,000 MT), Israel (2,000 MT), and Canada (1,300 MT).  Net sales of 568,300 MT for 2015/2016 were for unknown destinations (359,500 MT), China (118,000 MT), Mexico (90,000 MT), and Japan (800 MT).  Exports of 665,100 MT were down 13 percent from the previous week and 3 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (374,500 MT), Japan (85,200 MT), Taiwan (65,500 MT), Mexico (33,000 MT), Indonesia (29,900 MT), and Malaysia (26,900 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, new optional origin sales were reported to China (55,000 MT).  Outstanding optional origin sales total 711,000 MT, all China.

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 1,900 MT, all Canada.

Export Adjustments:  Accumulated exports to Japan were adjusted down 12,150 MT for week ending February 5th.  These sales were inadvertently reported as being shipped, but should have been reported as being cancelled.

Soybean Cake and Meal:  Net sales of 214,100 MT for 2014/2015 were down 5 percent from the previous week, but up 30 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for the Dominican Republic (65,500 MT, including 4,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 200 MT), Mexico (44,100 MT), Colombia (40,500 MT), Panama (25,300 MT), Barbados (24,200 MT, switched from Guatemala), and Spain (21,500 MT, including 20,000 MT switched from unknown destinations).  Decreases were reported for Guatemala (27,100 MT) and unknown destinations (25,400 MT).  Net sales of 183,500 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for Canada (109,000 MT), the Dominican Republic (60,600 MT), and unknown destinations (13,900 MT).  Exports of 291,500 MT were down 4 percent from the previous week, but up 10 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Iran (65,000 MT), Venezuela (60,000 MT), the Dominican Republic (44,000 MT), Mexico (30,300 MT), Spain (21,500 MT), Canada (20,700 MT), and Colombia (15,100 MT). 

Soybean Oil:  Net sales of 20,500 MT for 2014/2015 were down 8 percent from the previous week, but up noticeably from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for South Korea (10,500 MT), Mexico (7,400 MT), Canada (2,300 MT), and the Dominican Republic (100 MT).  Exports of 18,100 MT were down 7 percent from the previous week and 11 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (7,200 MT), the Dominican Republic (7,100 MT), South Korea (2,000 MT), and Canada (1,500 MT).

Cotton:  Net Upland sales of 61,200 RB for 2014/2015 were down 66 percent from the previous week and 37 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Vietnam (31,600 RB, including 13,200 RB switched from China, 200 RB switched from Japan, and decreases of 2,200 RB), Mexico (13,700 RB), Turkey (8,800 RB), Indonesia (7,800 RB, including 4,400 RB switched from China, 800 RB switched from Japan, and decreases of 2,100 RB), South Korea (6,900 RB, including 900 RB switched from China), and Bangladesh (4,800 RB).  Decreases were reported for China (28,200 RB) and Pakistan (1,100 RB).  Net sales of 2,400 RB for 2015/2016 resulted as increases  for South Korea (3,300 RB), were partially offset by decreases for Turkey (1,000 RB).  Exports of 325,300 RB were up 12 percent from the previous week and 4 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (80,300 RB), Vietnam (51,700 RB), Turkey (50,300 RB), Indonesia (27,800 RB), and Mexico (24,100 RB).  Net American Pima sales of 1,800 RB for 2014/2015 were down 88 percent from the previous week and 81 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (900 RB), Thailand (400 RB), Japan (300 RB), and Pakistan (200 RB).  Exports of 7,400 RB were down 41 percent from the previous week and 31 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (2,100 RB), Taiwan (2,000 RB), Thailand (1,100 RB), and India (1,000 RB).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 16,200 RB, and are for Thailand (11,300 RB), South Korea (4,600 RB), and Vietnam (300 RB). 

Exports for Own Account:  New exports for own account were reported to China (900 RB).  The current exports for own account balance is 43,200 RB, and is for China (41,400 RB) and Turkey (1,800 RB).

Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 354,600 pieces for 2015, all whole cattle hides, were down 8 percent from the previous week and 10 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were primarily for China (302,600 pieces), Taiwan (26,700 MT), South Korea (23,800 pieces), and Japan (4,900 pieces).  Decreases were reported for Germany (7,000 pieces) and Thailand (900 pieces).  Exports of 355,000 pieces were down 30 percent from the previous week and 11 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide exports of 352,200 pieces were primarily to China (240,900 pieces), South Korea (80,500 pieces), Taiwan (14,600 pieces), and Mexico (8,500 pieces).

Net sales of 166,200 wet blues for 2015 were up 83 percent from the previous week and 25 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (91,600 unsplit and 49,300 grain splits), Vietnam (20,500 unsplit), South Korea (2,800 grain splits), and Italy (2,100 unsplit).  Decreases were reported for Japan (200 unsplit) and South Korea (200 unsplit).  Exports of 129,900 wet blues were primarily to China (51,300 unsplit and 7,200 grain splits), Italy (21,400 unsplit), Mexico (12,800 grain splits and 4,200 unsplit), and Taiwan (9,600 unsplit).  Net sales of splits totaling 333,200 pounds for 2015 were for South Korea (277,200 pounds), China (42,800 pounds), Italy (11,000 pounds), and Taiwan (2,200 pounds).  Exports of 762,700 pounds were reported to South Korea (512,700 pounds) and Hong Kong (250,000 pounds).

Beef:  Net sales of 5,300 MT for 2015--a marketing-year low--were down 60 percent from the previous week and 58 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for South Korea (2,300 MT), Japan (1,100 MT), Mexico (900 MT), Canada (600 MT), and the Netherlands (300 MT).  Decreases were reported for Hong Kong (500 MT) and Taiwan (100 MT).  Exports of 11,800 MT were down 6 percent from the previous week and 4 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Japan (3,400 MT), Hong Kong (2,800 MT), South Korea (2,000 MT), Mexico (1,500 MT), and Canada (700 MT).

Pork:  Net sales of 28,300 MT for 2015 were up 45 percent from the previous week and 25 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (9,800 MT), China (7,100 MT), Japan (2,800 MT), Chile (2,100 MT), and Canada (2,000 MT).  Exports of 22,700 MT--a marketing-year high--were up 7 percent from the previous week and 14 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (6,900 MT), South Korea (3,600 MT), Japan (3,600 MT), China (2,200 MT), and Canada (1,400 MT).
