National Mall to host summer farmers market celebration in August
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announces the launch of the Great American Farmers Market, a new summer event celebrating the heart of American agriculture.
Held on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., this special event will run from Sunday, August 3 to Friday, August 8, each day from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET, during National Farmers Market Week and in collaboration with the America 250 celebration.
The event will feature over 50 vendors daily from 28 states, offering fresh produce, baked goods, meats, dairy, hot meals, and artisanal products. Each day will highlight different aspects of agriculture through family-friendly programs, performances, and interactive activities.
“America’s farmers, ranchers, and producers dedicate their lives to feeding their fellow citizens, and the Great American Farmers Market gives us the perfect opportunity to showcase the rich bounty of our agriculture on the National Mall. No President has supported farmers more than President Trump. Every single day we are fighting for our farmers and ranchers by cutting taxes, strengthening the farm safety net, and delivering huge wins in the One Big Beautiful Bill so producers can continue feeding our nation for generations to come,” said Secretary Rollins. “This historic farmers market will give visitors to our nation’s capital opportunities to learn, shop, snack, and explore.”
The market begins on Sunday, August 3 with a ribbon cutting, live music, and opening ceremony, and a theme titled “America Grows”, celebrating 250 years of agriculture and liberty.
