Väderstad appoints new VP Sales and Marketing in North America

Things are going well for the agricultural machine manufacturer Väderstad, one of the world’s leading companies within tillage and seeding. The Swedish company is growing, and simultaneously the company hires Jason Strobbe to the position of VP Sales and Marketing in North America. Jason joins Väderstad from a Canadian based agricultural equipment manufacturer as a NA Sales manufacturer. He will assume his new position at Väderstad on June 24.
 
2018 was a record year for Väderstad with turnover increasing with 27 percent compared to the previous year. The industry market continues to grow, and the sales development has been positive in many parts of the world.
 
– We have had a strong growth on the North American market, and we now invest even more. Therefore, we are very happy to have Jason Strobbe on board as our new VP Sales and Marketing. Jason has extensive experience and knowledge within the agricultural equipment business, as well as within marketing and sales. The quality, design and efficiency of Väderstad’s agricultural machinery and methods have been at the forefront since the very beginning. The company has shaped the market when it comes to innovation and new concepts. Väderstad manufactures all of its products in Canada and Sweden. Now the company has its target set on growing further on the North American market, and to be an important supplier of machines within the segment of seeding, planting and tillage.
 
– Our innovative concept with machines that save passes on the field saves resources for the farmer, which is highly appreciated. We are expanding our business with the aim of being an innovative company working in close proximity to our customers. We always aim for a high service level in supporting and helping farmers become more profitable, says Mattias Hovnert.
 
Together with the NA sales and aftersales team, Jason will continue to expand and grow Väderstad’s business in North America. The sales team also has a close cooperation with our production and development facilities in Langbank, Canada, and Väderstad, Sweden.
 
The sales offices are located in Ontario and Regina. Jason Strobbe will be attending the Farm Progress Show in Regina between June 19-21.

Historically, the USDA December crop report is a non-event or another dud report as the USDA reserves any final supply changes to the final report in January of the following year in this case 2026.
