AGCO Seeking Operator of the Year Nominations

By Amanda Brodhagen, Farms.com

AGCO, a leader of agriculture machinery is calling for nominations for its eighth annual ‘Operator of the Year’ program, which recognises the best operators from the U.S. and Canada.

Committee judges will evaluate nominees by examining a number of factors, including performance on and off the field, skills, dedication, customer service and community involvement. Nominations are submitted through their agricultural retailers.

“The hard work and precision of custom applicators across North America have a direct impact on farmers’ productivity and their ability to provide food, fiber and fuel to the world. While we can only select one annual winner, the real goal of this program is to recognize these professionals and demonstrate appreciation for the work they do,” Mark Sharitz, director of marketing for AGCO Application Equipment.

More information about Operator of the Year nominations can be found at: http://search.applylikeapro.com. The deadline for entries is Oct. 19, 2013. A group of four finalists will be chosen and will be invited to attend the 2013 Agricultural Retailers Association (ARA) Conference & Expo Dec. 3-5 in Miami, Fla. The winner will receive a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
