Post-secondary education is a subject stressed by many people as an important part of continuing a path towards a prosperous future and contributing to the economy and society.

Receiving that education however, can be extremely heavy on the brain, and on the bucks.

Farm Plus Financial recently announced two scholarship opportunities to help aid students in degree programs related to agriculture.

The first scholarship is the aptly named Farm Plus Financial Scholarship. This scholarship is designed to support students who want to be part of the future of food and agriculture. The scholarship is a one-time payout of $1000 to be used towards their studies. Among the eligibility requirements, the applicants must have cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better. Students must write a one page essay describing their goals and other reasons why they deserve the scholarship. The applications are due Sunday, May 31, 2015, 11:59pm MST.

The second of the scholarship opportunities is called the Viral Video Contest by Farm Plus Financial. It is designed for the applicants to showcase their creativity by creating a video related to farming and agriculture. There are a strict number of guidelines that must be followed when applying for the scholarship including keeping videos between 30 seconds and 10 minutes. There are prizes for the top three videos and submissions must be made by Thursday, December 31, 2015, 11:59pm MST.
