4-H Canada Announces New Governors

Following their respective Annual General Meetings, the Canadian 4-H Council and the Canadian 4-H Foundation have confirmed their governance teams for the coming year, welcoming two new directors, one new trustee, and reaffirming their commitment to strong governance and the long-term success of the 4-H movement in Canada.

Canadian 4-H Council Cameron Choquette and Jesse Hamonic have been appointed to the Canadian 4-H Council Board of Directors for a three-year term each. Each bring extensive governance, leadership, and strategic expertise that will strengthen 4-H Canada's national Board of Directors. "On behalf of the Canadian 4-H Council Board of Directors, I am pleased to welcome Cameron and Jesse to the team. Their skills will be a tremendous asset as we continue to strengthen our organization and advance opportunities for youth across Canada," said Robert Larsen, Chair of the Canadian 4-H Council.

The Canadian 4-H Council Board of Directors will continue to be led by Robert Larsen as Chair and Tyler McCann as Vice-Chair. Together with the full board, they will continue to support 4-H Canada's commitment to empowering youth to develop leadership, agricultural, and life skills through hands-on learning experiences. Directors Shelley Jones, Danielle Chu, Fawn Jackson, Neleah Lavoie, Bev Jones, Mila MacLean, and Gene Fraser will continue to provide leadership and expertise in support of the organization's strategic priorities, alongside YAC observer Davis Gottenbos.

The Board of Directors is elected by and accountable to 4-H Canada's Governing Members— individuals aged 18 and older, as well as organizations committed to advancing the 4-H movement across Canada.
