Adroit Overseas Expands to Three More Saskatchewan Facilities

Adroit Overseas Canada is expanding in Saskatchewan yet again.

A little over a month since purchasing the Shaunavon elevator to augment their Neville facility, the Burnaby B.C. processing company has announced the purchase of three pulse and specialty crop processing facilities in the southwest.

Formerly owned by W.A. Grain and Pulse Solutions, the facilities in Vanguard, Pambrun and Ponteix, Saskatchewan became available after the Alberta-based W.A. Grain and Pulse fell into Receivership in April of this year.

Speaking at a grand opening event in Vanguard late in September, Operations Manager Manraj Sandhu extolled the support the group has received from the local farmers in the southwest are is excited to continue to grow the market.

"Our team is very energized and can't wait to start running these facilities. Exciting times lie ahead. I would again like to thank all the producers and all of the community for their continuous support and ensuring that we have all the help we need in the community."

CEO of Adroit Canada Yogesh Raipuria added that Saskatchewan has been a key area of the company's growth and it was the huge support from the local farming community that encouraged and motivated them to expand further into the province.

Adroit Canada was founded in 2010 to buy grain, oilseeds and pulses from farmers for both the domestic and international market. The company has also invested in a processing facility in Sharjah, UAE to both process and market Canadian grain in the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

Before the addition of the three new facilities, the company was handling roughly 270,000 Metric Tonnes annually in Canada.
