Fendt and Massey Ferguson machines bring farming realism to gaming
AGCO has partnered with game developer SquadBuilt Inc. to bring its Fendt and Massey Ferguson equipment into the mobile farming simulation game American Farming 2. The collaboration aims to introduce modern agriculture and farm machinery to a wider audience through interactive digital experiences.
The free-to-play game allows players to use realistic versions of AGCO machinery while managing farming activities in a virtual environment inspired by Iowa agriculture. The addition of these well-known equipment brands helps create a more authentic farming experience for both experienced farmers and new players.
At launch, players can operate several Fendt tractor models, including the 1038, 1046 and 1050, along with Massey Ferguson models MF8130, MF8140 and MF8150. According to AGCO, the machinery has been designed to closely match the appearance and function of real-world equipment. More AGCO machines may be added to the game in future updates.
Company representatives said the project supports AGCO's Farmer-First strategy by connecting with younger generations and digital audiences through gaming platforms. The initiative also helps raise awareness about agriculture and the technology farmers use every day.
"It is exciting to see our Fendt and Massey Ferguson machines come to life in 'American Farming 2.' For farmers, the equipment looks and works like the real thing; for everyone else, it is a fun, hands-on way to discover what modern agriculture is all about," said Brandon Montgomery, Senior Brand Manager, Fendt North America.
The game offers activities such as planting, harvesting, spraying crops, hauling materials, and raising livestock. Players can also customize vehicles and characters while exploring farming operations in a multiplayer environment. These features provide an engaging way to learn about agricultural practices and equipment.
"We built American Farming 2 to give players an authentic, hands-on look at modern farming, so bringing Fendt and Massey Ferguson equipment into the game is a natural fit. These are machines farmers know and trust, and we're excited for players to put them to work in the field," said Grant Hilbert, Owner, SquadBuilt Inc.
SquadBuilt founder Grant Hilbert said the partnership fits the game's mission of offering an authentic view of modern farming. By including trusted farm machinery brands, the developers hope to create a realistic and educational experience for players.
American Farming 2 is available as a free download on major mobile app platforms. AGCO believes the collaboration will help introduce agriculture to new audiences while showcasing the capabilities of its equipment brands in an innovative and interactive way.
