For families who have surpassed the 125- or 150-year milestones, the Quasquicentennial or Sesquicentennial recognition can be pursued. It is essential to include documentation of the original purchase date with the application.

Access to the Century Farm and Ranch program application forms can be found online at https://www.sdfbf.org/Get-Involved/Century-Farms or by contacting the SDFB directly at 605.353.8052.

The deadline for submitting applications is Tuesday, August 1, 2023.

The South Dakota Farm and Ranch recognition program pays tribute to the families in South Dakota who have upheld ownership of their farms or ranches for a century, 125 years, or even 150 years.  Each year, Century farms and ranches are celebrated at the South Dakota State Fair in Huron. This year's recognition event is scheduled to take place on Thursday, August 31 at 10 a.m., on the South Dakota Farm Bureau Dakotaland Stage.

Mark your calendars for the 2023 South Dakota State Fair, running from Thursday, August 31 to Monday, September 4. Channel Seeds preview night will be held on Wednesday, August 30.
