Thursday is the deadline to purchase calf price insurance through the Western Livestock Price Insurance Program.
Calf price insurance is designed to protect against price declines on calves born in the spring and marketed in the fall.
Jodie Griffin is the Program Co-ordinator for the Western Livestock Price Insurance Program in Saskatchewan and says stats for the first year show they had a good response to the calf program.
