Canadian Show Jumping Team Announced for CSIO 5* Gijon

The Canadian Show Jumping Team athletes have been confirmed for the FEI Nations’ Cup™ set to take place during the CSIO 5* Gijon being held Aug. 30 to Sept. 4 in Spain.
 
The following team members will ride for Canada in the €80,000 FEI Nations’ Cup on Sept. 2:
 
The Chef d'Équipe for the Canadian athletes at the CSIO 5* Gijon will be EC Manager of Sport – Jumping Department, Karen Hendry-Ouellette.
 
Historically, the Canadian Show Jumping Team has enjoyed success in the FEI Nations’ Cup at CSIO 5* Gijon, earning top 10 finishes in 2015 (ninth) and 2016 (fifth). Nations’ cup classes are the only type of jumping competitions where riders compete in teams of four and face off against other countries. To determine overall team scores, the top three scores from each team are counted toward the final result of the two-round competition.
