Crop Predictions For 2017

With 2017 upon us, market analysts are making their predictions for the year ahead.

Brian Voth is the president of Prairie Farm Consulting.

He tells us what's he's expecting to see in southern Manitoba.

"I think you're going to see more beans because they're the ones that pencil out the best on any budget that we've done. You'll probably see less canola in the Red River Valley, overall canola acres I'm guessing will probably be unchanged across western Canada. Soybeans continue to expand into Saskatchewan and into Alberta."

Voth says he also expects to see a jump in oats, as a result of some good new crop pricing.
