Saskatchewan Pulse Growers (SPG) has been approached by fenugreek growers and processors to include fenugreek under SPG’s mandate and to establish a check-off for fenugreek.
SPG has made an application to the Minister of Agriculture to establish a check-off for fenugreek. The creation of a check-off for fenugreek requires a vote of fenugreek producers in Saskatchewan. We plan to conduct a producer vote on this topic in the next few months and we are currently assembling a list of fenugreek producers in Saskatchewan.
If you have produced and sold fenugreek in either of the last two years, please contact SPG at election@saskpulse.com or 306-668-0590 by March 1st, 2020 to register yourself for the fenugreek producer vote. You must produce a cash ticket that proves you have sold fenugreek within the last two years. The cash ticket must clearly show the name and address you have sold under, as well as a phone number and email address you can be contacted at.
