G3 Celebrates Grand Opening Of Glenlea Facility

G3 Canada Limited today celebrated the grand opening of G3 Glenlea, a high efficiency primary elevator in Glenlea, Manitoba.

G3 Glenlea has been open for business since January 2016, and today marked the grand opening celebration with G3 customers, staff, industry partners and local government officials. It is the fourth in a string of high-efficiency elevators opened by G3 since August 2015, complementing the rest of G3's footprint in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec.

Construction on G3 Glenlea began in fall 2014. Similar to G3's other new high-efficiency facilities on the Prairies, G3 Glenlea features a 134-car loop track capable of loading a full unit train while in continuous motion, and a high-capacity drag under the driveway enabling farmers to unload a super-B in five minutes or less without moving.

"G3 Glenlea is the latest addition to our network, and is providing local farmers with a new partner for their grain business. We're heavily focused on efficiency and on excellent customer service - that means organized delivery scheduling, little to no lineups, friendly service and a well-maintained facility," said Karl Gerrand, CEO, G3 Canada Limited. "We believe in delivering on promises, and are very proud to have completed another highly efficient grain terminal on time and on budget".

G3 Glenlea is located on the CN mainline. FWS was the general contractor for the project.

G3 currently has a lake terminal under construction in Hamilton, Ontario, expected to open in spring 2017.
