Help Shape the Future of Manitoba Canola: Apply to Join the Board

Manitoba Canola Growers is calling on farmers to step forward.

Following the 2025 board elections, Jackie Dudgeon-MacDonald (Darlingford, MB), Jay Derkach (Russell, MB), and Warren Ellis (Wawanesa, MB) were re-elected and will continue their leadership on the board. With Chuck Fossay completing his term after 12 years of dedicated service, and only three nominations for four positions,  one board seat is now vacant and will be filled through the board appointment process.

This vacancy creates a unique opportunity for a Manitoba canola farmer to help guide the strategic direction of the association, represent fellow growers, and contribute to decisions that shape research, policy, and programming across the province.

The appointment process is open, transparent, and designed to welcome a wide range of skills and perspectives. Whether you bring governance experience or have a strong interest in research, leadership or advocacy, we encourage you to consider applying.

Applications are now open and close January 30, 2026.
The successful applicant will join the board for a four-year term beginning in 2026.

If you’ve ever thought about getting more involved, this is your moment. Don’t let this seat go unfilled, your voice and experience matter.
