'I Am Ag' campaign invites students, agriculture workers to celebrate career stories

The ‘I Am Ag’ campaign launched by Agriculture in the Classroom Sask. aims to celebrate the unique careers of individuals working in the agriculture industry, as well as showcasing career options for young students to consider pursuing.

“The ‘I Am Ag’ campaign is a nationally led initiative designed to inspire people working in food and agriculture to celebrate and share their career stories. (It is) also a way to get young people excited about a career in agriculture,” said Sara Shymko, the executive director of Agriculture in the Classroom Sask.

“There’s a neat little video tool that we’ve developed that uses some compelling AI (artificial intelligence) videos to stitch together a little video celebrating people’s attributes,” she added.

For those working in the agriculture industry, visit the ‘I Am Ag’ site at iamag.ca; for young people interested in a career in agriculture, visit the ‘I Am the Future’ site at iamthefuture.ca.

The video can easily be shared on social media platforms, and all applicants will receive a personalized email with the download of their video, and a link to the five careers that they would be best suited for in the agriculture industry.
