Quality Technology International Announces Addition Of Two DVMs To Staff Key Positions

Quality Technology International, Inc., a global leader in Direct Fed Microbial additives and antibiotic alternatives that improve poultry and swine health and performance, announced today the addition of Dr. Claudio Osorio and Dr. Miguel Ruano to the company’s technical staff.

Dr. Claudio Osorio

Dr. Osorio will serve as Technical Service Veterinarian, Animal Health & Nutrition.  She has more than 13 years' experience directing veterinary laboratory diagnostic services and investigations related to poultry health and disease prevention.

Her most recent position was Laboratory Director Salisbury Animal Health Laboratory, Maryland Department of Agriculture.  Through her direction, this state laboratory gained a reputation as the leading diagnostic lab in the Delmarva region.

Dr. Osorio earned her DVM from LaSalle University in Bogotá, Columbia and her Master of Specialized Veterinary Medicine (Avian Medicine) Poultry Health Management from North Carolina State University, College of Veterinary Medicine Poultry Health Management.
 
Dr. Miguel Ruano

Dr. Ruano will serve as Technical Service Manager, Animal Health & Nutrition, bringing considerable experience to the team, most recently as Poultry Researcher in charge of Avian Diagnostic Virology section at the Allen Biotechnology Lab at University of Delaware. He applied research in broilers coccidiosis and lameness amongst coverage of poultry disease diagnosis at Lasher Labs.

Dr. Ruano has experience working in the broiler integrator health management at Perdue as a veterinary service manager. He also has laboratory experience working at the University of Georgia in its Poultry Diagnostic and Research Center in Athens, Georgia.
Dr. Ruano earned his DVM from the Central University of Ecuador, and a Master of Avian Medicine (MAM) from the University of Georgia.
