Raven Industries Buys Majority Ownership Of DOT

DOT Technology Corp has announced Raven Industries will acquire majority ownership of their autonomous farming company.

DOT is the developer and manufacturer of the autonomous U-shaped, diesel powered platform which carries Dot Ready Implements like a sprayer, grain cart, and seeder. DOT says the two began working together in the spring of last year, when it was announced Dot would be outfitted with Raven technology like steering, guidance and propulsion.

"As a company, we launched the Dot Platform to change farming. Raven has been a critical partner in helping Dot to where we are today," said Owner and Founder of DOT Technology Corp and SeedMaster Manufacturing Ltd., Norbert Beaujot. "Our combined technologies will undoubtedly help accelerate speed to market and adoption of machine automation."

DOT says this agreement will further capitalize on its position as a leader in the autonomous ag sector, helping farmers address labour shortages, high equipment costs and rising operational expenses.

CEO of DOT Technology Corp, Rob Saik, describes Raven Industries as the "perfect partner".

"The amount of interest Dot has here in Canada is staggering," he said. "Raven's involvement means our ability to provide a path to autonomy for farmers and implement manufacturers is now much stronger."
