Saskatchewan Ag Minister Lyle Stewart Prepares For Trade Mission To Japan

Agriculture minister Lyle Stewart is going on a trade mission to Japan and leaves on Saturday.

Stewart is involved with a seven day trade mission to Japan, speaking at a Team Canada New Crop seminar.

He says Japan is an important market for Saskatchewan farm products.

“Well, it’s our third-largest export destination for ag products,” Stewart said. “4.2-billion dollars a year, roughly. So, it’s very important.”

Stewart says Japan is Saskatchewan’s largest market for non-durum wheat and second largest market for canola seed.
