Saskatchewan Ranch Management Forum held this weekend in Moose Jaw

The Saskatchewan Ranch Management Forum opened on Friday in Moose Jaw.

The sold-out event wraps up on Sunday.

Colby Elford is a Regional Livestock Specialist and says the event is about enhancing producers management on the ranch:

"There are so many things that producers need to stay on top of in order to have a profitable operation," he said. "We wanted to touch on lots of those over the next few days everything from parasite resistance to tax planning, herd surveillance, mineral programs, insurance programs, water quality and everything in between."

He says it’s a full agenda but they wanted to cover off as many topics as they can since there are so many things for producers to be concerned about and monitor for.

He notes one of the key presenters is Curt Pate.
