The Most A-peel-ing Apple Display Declared the Winner

TORONTO - Consumers across the province voted on Facebook and Instagram for their favourite grocery display of Ontario apples. The winner of the final Foodland Ontario Consumers' Choice Contest is Longo's #34 in Stouffville.

"Congratulations to Longo's #34 in Stouffville for showcasing the depth and breadth of apple varieties grown in our province," said Ernie Hardeman, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. "Your participation in the Foodland Ontario Retailer Awards program helps inform shoppers about the variety of great produce grown right here in Ontario.  When we choose to buy local, we're supporting our farmers, our environment and our economy."

For more than 30 years, Foodland Ontario has collaborated with grower organizations and grocery retailers to promote seasonally available, Ontario-grown fruits and vegetables by building creative and enticing displays in their stores. The Foodland Ontario Retailer Awards program is the produce industry's premier competition for excellence in retail display and promotion in support of local Ontario foods. This year marked the first-time consumers were able to participate by choosing one of the top three grocery displays across the province.

The Consumers' Choice Award Contests engaged shoppers from Port Colborne to Sault Ste. Marie, and every town in between. With more than half a million social media impressions, Foodland Ontario's Instagram and Facebook followers were active participants in the Consumers' Choice Award Contests.

Video: Demco Dual Aguer Grain Carts — Fire Safety Systems, Right or Left-Handed Unload, and More!

Demco's dual auger grain cart is designed for unloading efficiency, operator visibility, and safety in the field.

This dual-auger design features both an unload auger and a floor auger for enhanced grain cleanout and consistent flow, and the 22-inch unload auger is capable of moving up to 600 bushels per minute.

Farmers can also choose between right or left-handed unload options—right-handed unload improves visibility from the tractor cab. A new design allows both vertical and horizontal movement for precise grain placement during unloading.

Another key feature is the built-in fire safety system; a 300-gallon onboard water tank with a hose reel that provides field-ready fire suppression capability.

These dual auger grain carts are available in 1100, 1300, 1500, 1700, and 2200 bushel sizes.
