USDA Export sales Report

Wheat:   Net sales of 409,300 metric tons for delivery in the 2014/2015 marketing year were up 3 percent from the previous week, but down 3 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for unknown destinations (128,000 MT), Taiwan (86,800 MT), Thailand (55,000 MT), Japan (51,100 MT), Brazil (25,000 MT), and Honduras (12,700 MT).  Decreases were reported for El Salvador (1,000 MT).  Net sales of 9,500 MT for 2015/2016 were for Honduras.  Exports of 373,800 MT were down 15 percent from the previous week, but up 16 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (68,100 MT), Nigeria (67,100 MT), China (61,700 MT), South Korea (39,000 MT), and Japan (33,900 MT).

Exports for Own Account:  Exports for own account totaling 300 MT to Italy were applied to new or outstanding sales.  The current exports for own account balance is 54,100 MT, all Italy.

Corn:  Net sales of 1,003,100 MT for 2014/2015 were up 19 percent from the previous week, but down 17 percent from the prior 4-week average.   Increases were reported for Mexico (427,900 MT), Japan (172,800 MT, including 42,700 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 17,600 MT), Colombia (71,600 MT), South Korea (69,000 MT), Saudi Arabia (69,000 MT, including 65,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Portugal (68,200 MT, including 62,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Iran (66,000 MT), and the Dominican Republic (49,600 MT, including 26,500 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 800 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (59,000 MT), the French West Indies (6,000 MT), and Canada (5,700 MT).  Net sales of 117,700 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for Mexico (81,100 MT) and Japan (36,600 MT).  Exports of 618,900 MT were down 13 percent from the previous week and 9 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Mexico (247,900 MT), Japan (91,900 MT), Saudi Arabia (69,000 MT), Portugal (68,200 MT), the Dominican Republic (49,300 MT), Guatemala (32,500 MT), and Colombia (24,400 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 68,000 MT, all South Korea.

Barley:  Net sales of 100 MT for 2014/2015 were reported for Japan.  Exports of 200 MT were reported to Japan.  

Sorghum: Net sales of 332,400 MT for 2014/2015 were up 49 percent from the previous week and 28 percent from the prior 4-week average.   Increases were for China (163,400 MT, including 58,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 300 MT), unknown destinations (119,000 MT), and Japan (50,000 MT).  Exports of 168,500 MT were up noticeably from the previous week and up 17 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The destination was China.  

Rice:  Net sales of 125,600 MT for 2014/2015 were up noticeably from the previous week and up 88 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Japan (68,400 MT), South Korea (24,200 MT), Mexico (10,100 MT), unknown destinations (8,500 MT), and Colombia (5,000 MT).  Net sales of 100 MT for 2015/2016 were for Japan.  Exports of 26,800 MT were down 56 percent from the previous week and 67 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Honduras (10,800 MT), Mexico (6,400 MT), South Korea (3,600 MT), Saudi Arabia (2,100 MT), and Canada (2,000 MT).

Exports for Own Account:  Exports for own account totaling 91 MT were reported to Canada.  Exports for own account totaling 42 MT to Canada were applied to new or outstanding sales.  The current exports for own account balance is 116 MT, all Canada.

Soybeans:  Net sales of 745,400 MT for 2014/2015 were up 52 percent from the previous week and 29 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases reported for China (603,300 MT, including 172,500 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 17,600 MT), Indonesia (82,100 MT, including 75,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 2,500 MT), Germany (70,000 MT, switched from unknown destinations), Pakistan (67,000 MT), Bangladesh (55,000 MT), Mexico (39,300 MT), and Vietnam (6,000 MT), were partially offset by decreases for unknown destinations (147,300 MT) and Japan (54,500 MT).  Net sales of 800 MT for 2015/2016 were for Japan.  Exports of 1,603,100 MT were down 26 percent from the previous week and 8 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were China (1,157,700 MT), Indonesia (120,200 MT), Germany (64,900 MT), Mexico (63,900 MT), Pakistan (51,000 MT), Tunisia (33,000 MT), Russia (31,100 MT), and Taiwan (19,100 MT).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, options were exercised to export 53,000 MT to China from the United States.  Outstanding optional origin sales total 763,000 MT, all China.

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 1,900 MT, all Canada.

Soybean Cake and Meal:  Net sales of 189,400 MT for 2014/2015 were down 36 percent from the previous week and 20 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for the Philippines (86,500 MT), Spain (71,600 MT, including 75,600 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 4,000 MT), Canada (41,800 MT), Egypt (33,000 MT, including 30,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Poland (24,900 MT, including 19,400 MT switched from unknown destinations), and Panama (16,300 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (115,900 MT), France (4,400 MT), Mexico (2,400 MT), and the French West Indies (2,300 MT).  Net sales of 45,100 MT for 2015/2016 were reported for Spain (45,000 MT) and Canada (100 MT).  Exports of 283,100 MT were up 96 percent from the previous week, but down 3 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Spain (74,600 MT), the Philippines (45,500 MT), Egypt (33,000 MT), Mexico (29,000 MT), the Dominican Republic (26,200 MT), Poland (25,000 MT), and Canada (9,700 MT). 

Soybean Oil:  Net sales of 16,100 MT for 2014/2015 were up 7 percent from the previous week, but down 11 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Peru (14,700 MT), South Korea (10,700 MT), Jamaica (3,500 MT), and Mexico (700 MT).  Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (14,000 MT).  Exports of 15,400 MT were down 41 percent from the previous week and 39 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were South Korea (10,700 MT), Mexico (4,100 MT), and Canada (400 MT).

Cotton:  Net Upland sales of 52,200 RB for 2014/2015 were down 88 percent from the previous week and 89 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for China (22,200 RB), Vietnam (15,700 RB, including 2,200 RB switched from Taiwan), Indonesia (13,900 RB, including 2, 200 RB switched from Vietnam), Mexico (12,000 RB), and Japan (7,400 RB).  Decreases were reported for Turkey (57,400 RB).  Net sales of 12,100 RB for 2015/2016 were reported primarily for Japan (5,000 RB), Mexico (4,000 RB), and South Korea (2,600 RB).  Exports of 289,700 RB--a marketing-year high--were up 3 percent from the previous week and 15 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Turkey (74,000 RB), China (59,800 RB), Vietnam (34,700 RB), Pakistan (25,700 RB), and Indonesia (23,500 RB).  Net American Pima sales of 14,100 RB for 2014/2015 were up 74 percent from the previous week and 35 percent from the prior 4-week average.   Increases were reported for China (11,500 RB), Thailand (1,000 RB), Peru (1,000 RB), and Japan (300 RB).  Exports of 4,300 RB were up noticeably from the previous week, but down 14 percent from the prior 4-week average.  The primary destinations were Pakistan (2,200 RB), China (1,000 RB), India (400 RB), and Japan (300 RB).

Optional Origin Sales:  For 2014/2015, outstanding optional origin sales total 16,200 RB, and are for Thailand (11,300 RB), South Korea (4,600 RB), and Vietnam (300 RB). 

Exports for Own Account:  The current exports for own account balance is 48,900 RB, all China.

Hides and Skins:  Net sales of 404,900 pieces reported for 2015 were down 11 percent from the previous week and 20 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide sales of 375,000 pieces were primarily for China (296,600 pieces), South Korea (47,800 pieces), Mexico (12,900 pieces), Taiwan (10,700 pieces), and Italy (4,000 pieces).  Decreases were reported for Canada (500 pieces).  Exports of 340,900 pieces were up 1 percent from the previous week and 7 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Whole cattle hide exports totaled 339,600 pieces.  The primary destinations were China (242,200 pieces), South Korea (55,600 pieces), Taiwan (15,800 pieces), Mexico (15,500 pieces), and Italy (3,200 pieces).

Net sales of 122,200 wet blues for 2015 were reported for China (58,300 unsplit and 2,400 grain splits), Italy (31,900 unsplit), the Dominican Republic (8,200 unsplit), and Mexico (6,300 grain splits and 200 unsplit).  Decreases were reported for Italy (200 grain splits).   Exports of 170,200 wet blues were primarily to China (51,900 unsplit and 9,100 grain splits), Italy (33,700 unsplit and 9,100 grain splits), Mexico (15,700 grain splits and 3,200 unsplit), and Vietnam (17,600 unsplit).  Net sales reductions of splits totaling 829,000 pounds for 2015 were for South Korea (764,500 pounds), Vietnam (57,900 pounds), and China (6,600 pounds).  Exports of 761,200 pounds were reported to South Korea (485,800 pounds), China (125,400 pounds), Taiwan (100,000 pounds), and Hong Kong (50,000 pounds).

Beef:  Net sales of 13,800 MT for 2015 were down 1 percent from previous week, but up 23 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Japan (7,800 MT), South Korea (2,000 MT), Hong Kong (1,300 MT), Mexico (900 MT), and Canada (600 MT).  Exports of 11,500 MT were reported to South Korea (2,800 MT), Japan (2,700 MT), Hong Kong (2,000 MT), Mexico (1,400 MT), and Canada (900 MT).

Pork:  Net sales of 24,200 MT for 2015 were up 29 percent from the previous week and 10 percent from the prior 4-week average.  Increases were reported for Mexico (5,000 MT), Japan (4,400 MT), China (3,700 MT), South Korea (3,200 MT), and Australia (2,600 MT).  Exports of 17,600 MT were reported to Mexico (7,000 MT), South Korea (4,400 MT), Japan (2,600 MT), Canada (1,200 MT), and Colombia (600 MT).
