Iowa Corn leaders focus on expanding export markets and sustainable farming practices

Iowa Corn Growers Association (ICGA) members gathered at the U.S. Grains Council meetings in Salt Lake City to advocate for agricultural trade and export priorities.

The discussions highlighted the importance of growing international trade relationships, advancing sustainable farming practices, and enhancing the global demand for U.S. corn.

Curt Mether, a past ICGA Board Member, was reelected to an At-Large position on the U.S. Grains Council Board. This role underlines his dedication to the agriculture sector and his influence in shaping future policies.

As an At-Large member, Mether will help guide the Grains Council and represent U.S. grain producers on a global scale.

“Attending these meetings with fellow growers and international staff helps us explore new export markets,” Mether commented. “I am honored to represent Iowa and aim to push for increased corn export opportunities.”

The meetings offered Iowa corn farmer leaders a chance to engage with global stakeholders, share market insights, and seek new collaboration opportunities. Iowa Corn remains committed to advancing the interests of Iowa’s corn farmers and boosting grain exports. For more information, visit iowacorn.org.
