Sixteen breeds of beef cattle found in Canada

Blonde d’Aquitaine

Blonde d’Aquitaine

I’d never heard of this breed before. They originated in France and made their debut in Canada in the 1970s. As the name suggests, these cattle are blonde (or beige) in colour. They’re known for their lean meat and calving ease. Blondes can also be crossbred with dairy breeds to increase muscle.
