The Southern Region Soil Health Workshop will take place on February 3rd, 2026 in Salem, IN and is a half day event, with registration beginning at 8:00 a.m. and concluding with lunch. The workshop begins at 8:30 a.m.
David Kleinschmidt (Conservation Agronomist at Progressive Agronomy Consulting) will speak on Input Management in Soil Health Systems. Ray McCormick (Indiana farmer and No-Till Farmer’s 2024’s Conservation Ag Operator Fellow) will cover Modifying Equipment for Efficiency as well as Farming River Bottom Ground. Danielle Walker (Ag & Natural Resource Educator with Washington County Purdue Extension) will present the Private Applicator Regulatory Topic.
Advance registration is required by January 30th and can be completed by contacting the Washington County Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) at (812) 883-3006, extension 3 or by registering online at https://bit.ly/2026RSHW. The workshop will take place at Cornerstone Chapel & Celebration Center (1500 RC Morris Drive, Salem, IN 47167). This year, a $10 admission fee will be collected at the door. Please bring cash or check.
PARP credits, CCH and CEU Credits have been applied for. Indiana Corn Marketing Council and Indiana Soybean Alliance, through their checkoff dollars, are sponsoring private applicators by offsetting their PARP fees.
