More Than 80 Percent of Oklahoma’s 2019 Winter Wheat Crop Condition Reported Fair or Better
On Monday, February 25, 2019 the US Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Statistics Service’s Oklahoma Field Office released its first Crop Progress Report for the state since the beginning of the year. In this full month overview of February, the report indicates an overall positive snapshot in the current conditions of the major crops grown in-state.
 
According to the report, winter wheat grazed reached 43 percent, down 3 points from the previous year. Wheat’s condition currently is at 10 percent poor to very poor, 52 fair and 38 percent good to excellent. Canola’s condition is relatively strong as well, rated so far at 11 percent poor to very poor, 40 fair and 49 good to excellent.
