NFU calls for end to lock-out of Co-op Refinery workers in Regina

The National Farmers Union is calling for a quick and fair resolution to the Co-op Refinery worker lock-out in Regina.

The NFU has sent a letter to the board of directors urging them to end the lock-out immediately and return to the bargaining table in good faith.

The NFU says it is disturbing to see pensions as an issue and workers may be forced to accept one that is less valuable.

If Co-op succeeds, the NFU says other companies will be emboldened to seize their workers’ pension funds.

The NFU is also upset with the use of replacement workers.
