Soybean Seeding Fully Underway, Nearing Completion In Some Areas

Manitoba Pulse and Soybean Growers (MPSG) is expecting to see about two million acres of soybeans go into the ground this year.

That would be another record for Manitoba.

Production Specialist Cassandra Tkachuk says growers have been busy fulfilling that number.

"At this point in time, soybean seeding is fully underway and almost completed in the south central region of Manitoba. For the east, west, and northern growing areas of Manitoba, we're still at the start of soybean seeding, but I expect it to be fully underway in these areas as of this week. Seeding of peas and faba beans is now wrapped up in the province as well."
