Turkey On The Menu For Many This Thanksgiving

 
Manitoba produces approximately 11 million kilograms of turkey year round.
 
There are 50 turkey producers in the province.
 
Bill Uruski, chair of Manitoba Turkey Producers, says Thanksgiving is one of the busiest times of the year for whole turkey consumption.
 
"This would be one of the busiest, this and Christmas, and then lesser so at Easter time, but Easter's still a big consuming period for whole birds" he said.
