CFO Welcomes New Chair of OFPMC

BURLINGTON, ON – Chicken Farmers of Ontario (CFO) congratulates Amy Cronin on her recent appointment as Chair of the Ontario Farm Products Marketing Commission (OFPMC). Cronin was appointed by the Honourable Ernie Hardeman, Ontario Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
 
A pork and chicken producer, Cronin and her family farm in Huron County. Cronin is a School Board Trustee for the Huron-Perth Catholic School Board, and a former Chair of the Ontario Pork Producers Marketing Board.“On behalf of Chicken Farmers of Ontario and our 1,300 family-run farms in 330 communities across the province, we congratulate and welcome Amy Cronin as the new chair of the Ontario Farm Products Marketing Commission,” said Ed Benjamins, Chair of Chicken Farmers of Ontario. “We also thank Vice-Chair Valerie Gilvesy and Past Chair Jim Clark for their leadership and collaboration.”
 
Amy Cronin brings a considerable amount of experience and knowledge to OFPMC. She also currently represents the province of Ontario on the National Program Advisory Committee, advising government on business risk management programs.
 
“CFO strongly supports the OFPMC’s regulatory roles under the Farm Products Marketing Act and related regulations,” said Rob Dougans, President & CEO of Chicken Farmers of Ontario. “We look forward to continually advancing Ontario’s chicken industry.”
