Creation Gardens Recalling Beef Products Due to Possible E. Coli Contamination

Creation Gardens has recalled 22,832 pounds of raw ground beef and beef primal cut products due to potential E. coli contamination.

The affected products were produced on May 31, June 1, and June 2, 2017. For the full list of affected products, weight information, and product codes, see the official release issued by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.

The products display establishment number EST. 7914 inside the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s inspection mark. They were shipped to food service locations in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and Tennessee.

The E. coli bacterium can be deadly and may cause dehydration, bloody diarrhea, and abdominal cramps between two and eight days after exposure. Although most people recover within one week, some develop hemolytic uremic syndrome, a type of kidney failure. While people of any age can develop this condition, it is most common in children under five years old and in older adults. Symptoms include easy bruising, pallor, and less urine.

Anyone who bought one of the affected products should either throw it away to take it back to the place of purchase. If you experience any of the above symptoms, get emergency medical care immediately.

So, in today’s sheep farming vlog at Ewetopia Farms, we can no longer wait for better weather conditions and must brave the treacherous ice and hope no one gets injured! This is Canadian sheep farming!
